IF THOUGHTS, FEELINGS, IMAGES AND MEMORIES ARISE AND WE DO NOT FOLLOW THEM, THIS IS THE STATE OF CONTEMPLATION. THAT STATE OF CLARITY OR INSTANT PRESENCE IS THE ENLIGHTENED STATE. THAT IS KNOWLEDGE OR UNDERSTANDING: RIGPA. OUR REAL CONDITION IS EMPTINESS WITH INFINITE POTENTIALITY: DHARMAKAYA. THIS TOTAL EMPTINESS OF OUR REAL NATURE CAN HAVE INFINITE MANIFESTATIONS. IN OUR REAL CONDITION, THE ZHI (BASE) IS BEYOND TIME, BEYOND DEFINITION, BEYOND CONCEPT- BEYOND EVERYTHING. IN DZOGCHEN YOU CONTINUE IN THIS STATE OF KNOWLEDGE. YOU KNOW, AND THEN YOU TOTALLY RELAX YOUR BODY, SPEECH AND MIND AND ALL TENSIONS INTO THAT STATE OF AWARENESS.

OK so -
There's nothing to stand on?
^_^
Don't suppress the question but don't pursue it either. Stay in the interval between thoughts- and let the thoughts appear and disappear on their own.
It's all like writing on water or painting the sky. And one's real identity- Buddha Nature- is utterly beyond anything that can be imagined or conceived of. We have to move beyond the mind and the limited concept of “self.” (That's my sense of the Dzogchen teaching.)
